Instructions:
In the story we read, Helen Keller narrates a situation that changed her life. For this project you must do the same. Think back about a situation encountered that has changed you. It could be a positive situation or a negative one.
• Describe the scenes so that readers can picture them.
• Develop a strong introductory paragraph that grabs the reader’s attention.
• Characters within the story (including yourself) are described in detail so that readers can understand who they are and their role in the story.
• Details are interesting and flow logically and are relevant to the ideas presented.
• Project shows student has thoroughly reflected on his/her life, likes and dislikes,
personality, attitudes, habits and temper.
• Conclusion (final paragraph) states significance of the event in your life and how it has shaped the person you are today.
Specifications
• Microsoft Word (preferred)
• Times New Roman, point size 12 (no bold, italics or underlined).
• Folder is identified with the ORIGINAL title of the work (point size could be bigger in folder).
• Work has a first page with student’s name, school, group, date, teacher’s name, etc.
• 5 pages (booklet format) and 1 with pictures for a total of 6 pages.
• Project is divided into paragraphs. Do not write everything in one chunk of paragraph.
• Three 10 x 10 inches images (pictures, drawings) related to the situation discussed.
• The story must be told in past tense (watch out for verb tenses).
